Patrick Fitzsimmons
Managing Director / Senior Town Planner

Patrick has over 12 years’ experience working in a number of different Councils in New South Wales and now works as a private consultant. He has a well-rounded knowledge and understanding of the Council system, the Planning process and the associated legislation dealing with all types of Planning whether it be building renovations, construction of new dwellings or commercial premises, subdivision of land, rezoning projects, objections to developments and Court representation as an expert witness.

Clients are drawn to working with Patrick as he is very thorough and makes the projects enjoyable. He has fantastic communication between clients, other Consultants working on the project, and Council, which helps deliver outcomes. He has an incredible eye to detail and a very comprehensive systematic approach to his work. You can rely on him to be the central point of contact and at the forefront of the progression of your development.

What do town planners do?

Town planners work on the behalf of a developer or landowner to provide advice about your development, vision, and plan. Planners are professionals in developing strategies and reports for submission to Local Council and State Government Agencies. They specialise in Town Planning Law which covers all types of development. We can help you get approval for a development on things like a simple house extension or something more complex like a multi-storey mix use tower in the CBD.

At Vision Property Development Hub our Drafting team can provide custom design solutions to residential requirements whether it be a new home, alterations & additions, separate office and/or granny flats, or a multi-unit Development.  If you have a VISION of what you want to achieve with your building project we can bring that to life with our drafting team preparing Council ready plans.

We also provide plans for new purpose built commercial premises or alterations and additions. Lastly we regularly prepare preliminary layout plans for proposed subdivisions.

We work in conjunction with qualified consulting Engineers to prepare all the structural and civil plans that are required for the project.

If you require more bespoke design service, we work closely with a residential designer that can offer bespoke design input and interior design suggestions.

When & Why do I need a Town Planner?

When you have an idea to develop, contact Vision Property Development Hub. We can advise you quickly whether your proposed development will require any form of approval. We will coordinate a mix of consultants such as architects, landscape architects, surveyors, civil engineers, and traffic engineers to provide quotation for the professional services to get you all of the necessary reports, assessments, structural information, and required documentation to submit to Council for you.
